**DSU GAP Scholarship** is a merit-based award offered for up to four years (Fall and Spring semesters only) by the Office of Admissions to entering, full-time, first-year freshmen who are United States citizens. This scholarship provides $3,000 per academic year to assist with tuition charges. To qualify, students must be regularly admitted and enroll in the fall semester immediately following high school graduation. _**Note:** This scholarship cannot be combined with the Full Scholarship, Full Tuition Scholarship, or Partial Tuition Scholarship._
Full Tuition Scholarship

**Full Tuition Scholarship** is a merit-based award offered for up to four years (Fall and Spring semesters only) by the Office of Admissions to entering, full-time, first-year freshmen who are United States citizens. This scholarship covers the gap between the University’s tuition cost and any Federal Title IV and/or state grant funding (e.g., the Inspire Scholarship). It does not cover travel expenses, room and food, student fees, or other personal costs.

**Partial Tuition Scholarship** is a merit-based award offered for up to four years (Fall and Spring semesters only) by the Office of Admissions to entering, full-time, first-year freshmen who are United States citizens. This scholarship covers up to 50% of the gap between the University’s tuition cost and any Federal Title IV and/or state grant funding (e.g., the Inspire Scholarship).

* Scholarships are disbursed evenly between the Fall and Spring semester of each academic year. * Scholarships may only be used to cover direct educational expenses billed by the University (tuition, fees, housing, meal plans, and book vouchers).

Visual and Performing Arts Scholarships
Applicants with outstanding talents in music and who would like to be members of the “Approaching Storm” Band or the University Choir may be considered for these scholarships. Auditions are required.
