The Governor’s Merit Scholarship provides up to **$5,000 per academic year** for a maximum of **four years of full-time enrollment**. Both full-time and part-time students can receive the full award, distributed over **two semesters**.

Eligibility: To qualify for the Governor’s Merit Scholarship, a student must: * Be a current resident of Ohio * Have registered for Selective Service, if required (males only) * Be enrolled in a public or chartered non-public high school and rank in the top 5% of their class at the time eligibility is determined **OR** be homeschooled or enrolled in a dropout-recovery high school and rank within the top 5% of applicants, as defined below * Be a junior on track to graduate, as confirmed by the student’s high school, at the time of eligibility determination * Graduate on time (within one year of eligibility determination) Public and chartered non-public high school students do not need to apply; schools receive designated awards for top 5% students. Merit scholarships are competitive and very limited. Award amounts may vary based upon location, major, year in school, etc.

Eligibility: Students who meet the following criteria will be considered for merit-based scholarships; an application is required: * FSB major * 3.5 overall GPA on 15 Miami University earned hours (transfer credit does not apply towards this minimum). * Studying on a Miami Co-Sponsored or FSB faculty led program. * Complete the FSB Merit-Based Scholarship Application by the appropriate deadline.
