Eligibility: To be considered for a Freshman Guaranteed Scholarships, students must meet the following requirements:
**(ALL** of the following information must be on file with the Admissions Office postmarked by **December 1, 2025 to be considered for a scholarship in the chart above.)**
* Application for admission as a new Incoming Freshman
* Admissions Application fee paid or completed and qualified for fee waiver
* Official **Qualifying** ACT and/or SAT test score (without the writing subscore)
* Qualifying ACT and/or SAT test scores are listed in the charts above.
* Students must have an official qualifying ACT/SAT test score on file by December 1st AND be admitted to MTSU to be reconsidered for a scholarship award or upgrade due to a higher December test score.
* Official **sixth-semester** high school transcript with cumulative GPA requirement (transcript must reflect GPA through end of junior year).
* MTSU will consider the seventh-semester high school transcript (through end of the 1st semester of Senior year) if the transcript is on file as of December 1
* Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.

International Merit Scholarship - general allocation
We want the best students to join our university and help by investing in your future with $2,000,000 allocated annually for International Merit Scholarships.

Regional Scholars - reduced out-of-state tuition
Out-of-State Requirements
ACT 25+ β’ SAT 1200+
Students who qualify will receive:
1. A reduced tuition rate equal to approximately 48% off the standard out of state rate.
2. Automatic consideration for the **MTSU Freshman Academic Merit Scholarships**.
Eligibility: In order to qualify the student must meet the following requirements:
1. Graduated from a high school located in a county within a 250 mile radius of MTSU or from one of the eight states bordering Tennessee
2. Have an ACT composite of 25 (or SAT equivalent) or above
3. Attend full time (at least 12 hours)
4. Apply for the Academic Common market program (if available)

School of Music Scholarships
The MTSU School of Music provides merit scholarships to musically gifted and academically talented students. All auditioning students are considered for music scholarships.
Eligibility: Scholarship offers are based on a successful audition, academic acceptance to MTSU, recommendation by the appropriate faculty, and recommendation by the Scholarship Committee.

Transfer Promise Scholarship

**Transfer Promise Scholarship** β $3,000 per year for two years (maximum of 4 semesters).
Eligibility: To be considered for a MTSU Transfer Promise Scholarship, students must be a first-time incoming transfer who plans to enroll at MTSU in the Summer or Fall semester. Students with a previous bachelorβs degree are not eligible. Students must have ALL of the following on file with the Admissions Office by **March 1st**:
* Application for admissions as a new Incoming Transfer
* Admissions Application fee paid
* Official college transcript(s) through the Fall semester
* Official high school transcript if applicable
* Must be US Citizen or permanent resident. Recipients must also be EVEA verified (or lawfully present in the United States).
