Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to newly-admitted, first-time bachelor degree-seeking students who meet the following criteria and who apply for early admission.

Student application is not required to be considered for a Merit Tuition Scholarship. All active students in graduate degree programs with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, as well as prospective students who have applied for admission to those programs, will automatically be considered by the program's graduate advisor/coordinator.

CAS Merit Tuition Scholarship - Freshmen criteria

These scholarships are generally granted for three to six credit hours and students must be enrolled at least half-time.

Drachler - $1,000 award

The Drachler Scholarship is open to eligible applicants every fall and spring semester with two awards given each semester: one for $1,000 and one for $500.

GCOE Merit Tuition Scholarship

The GCOE Merit Tuition Scholarships can be granted over the entire span of the students undergraduate study at Northeastern Illinois University, not to exceed four years, or a total of eight semesters, including summer terms.

J. Njogu & Eben C. Morgan Award

$4,000 ($2,000, awarded to two students)

Presidential Scholar

Valued at more than $60,000 during the course of four academic years, the Presidential Scholarship covers full in-state tuition, fees, and provides a book allowance. Housing costs not included.

PTK Scholarship

The scholarship covers tuition (not fees) for the first 60 credit hours at NEIU.

UHP Merit Tuition Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to cover from 3 to 24 credit hours for the academic year at the in-state tuition rate.
