Merit scholarships are available in limited quantity for transfer students enrolling in the fall term at the Athens campus. These awards are competitive and provide from $1,000 to $3,000 toward tuition expenses.

Other merit scholarships are available for international students who meet freshman or transfer scholarship criteria.

This renewable $2,000 scholarship is awarded automatically to admitted students who applied by the extended deadline of January 15, 2026, have earned a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a strong college prep curriculum and whose FAFSA results are received by the first priority date of January 15, 2026. Students who are offered admission and enroll in a degree program within our nationally distinctive Honors Tutorial College degree program are eligible for this scholarship, valued at full in-state tuition (currently $14,582). The scholarship will cover remaining Athens campus in-state tuition and mandatory fees after subtracting a student’s Pell Grant and other federal, state and institutional gift aid.

Dean's Scholarship (undergraduate upper-class)

Ohio University's College of Business offers nearly $185,000 in Deans Scholarships to current students. Deans Scholarships are based on academic merit and seniority. Current students will be notified by the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships when the next application is open. Award: $1,250

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Merit scholarships are available in limited quantity for transfer students enrolling in the fall term at the Athens campus. These awards are competitive and provide from $1,000 to $3,000 toward tuition expenses.
