College of Education Alumni Scholarship - Merit Based
Full-Ride
Scholarships for freshmen ranging from "Full-Ride" (tuition, fees, books and housing) to $1,000.
Hawk Housing - per semester
Helps new undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students (including international) pay for on-campus housing. Offers $1,000 for fall and $1,000 for spring to pay for a standard double room in Hunter Hall.
Higher-Up
The Higher-Up Scholarship offers $1,000 to UHCL alumni to continue their educational journey through graduate studies at UHCL.
MIS Scholarship Endowment
A scholarship for students in the Management Information Systems program for $1,000 per year.
Partial (up to $1,000)
Scholarships for freshmen ranging from "Full-Ride" (tuition, fees, books and housing) to $1,000.
Peter P. Bermudez Scholarship
President's Excellence
This $3,000 scholarship ($1,500 for fall and $1,500 for spring) is renewable for an additional three years.

Hawk Scholars Scholarship - 2026
The award amount is $2,000 ($1,000 for Fall 2026 semester and $1,000 for Spring 2027 semester). Recipients will be eligible to pay resident tuition for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.
Lunch and Learn merit award
**Awarded during each Lunch and Learn event:** Criteria/Selection: Top two highest GPA of RSVP'd students; Scholarship amount: $500.00 each
