Value: $100-$1,500 per semester for up to two years

Eligibility: Entering direct transfer students (from an Iowa community college) who submit a FAFSA by the deadline for maximum financial aid consideration, demonstrate financial need based on the FAFSA results, and show outstanding academic merit (Community College Transfer GPA) are automatically considered for the Iowa Community College Need-Based Academic Award.

$2,000–$15,000 a year for up to four years

Eligibility: Nonresident undergraduate first-year students who submit a complete application for admission by February 2, 2026 are automatically considered for the National Scholars Award. Scholarship awarding and amounts are based on outstanding academic merit (standardized test scores and GPA) and exceptional promise at the University of Iowa.

Eligibility: For National Merit finalists who designate the University of Iowa as their first-choice institution.

One (1) $1,000 Bedell World Experience Asia Scholarship will be awarded for a semester-length or academic year program. This award is not renewable.

Eligibility: Applicant must: * be an undergraduate, full-time, degree-seeking UI student in good academic standing * have completed at least 12 semester hours by the application deadline * demonstrated financial need per UI Award Letter * have 3.5 UI cumulative GPA as reported on the unofficial UI grade report * be a native Iowa resident _(native residents of Iowa is defined as an individual who was born in Iowa and has spent the majority of their life in Iowa - as per donor's request)_ * plan to study in a geographic area where Japanese, Chinese, or Korean is the primary language for at least one semester
