Narragansett Undergraduate Scholarship - tuition/fees
URI Narragansett Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship provides full, in-state tuition and fees for up to four years to students of Narragansett ancestry who have been accepted to a URI undergraduate program.
Eligibility: In addition to being accepted into an undergraduate degree program*, students must have:
* An official FAFSA on file and all verification requirements completed (the FAFSA must be completed annually during the students URI career to maintain their scholarship).
* A tribal enrollment identification card or an official letter from the tribal administration that confirms membership through a direct family member (parents).

Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship
In-State Requirements
GPA 3.5+
Awarded to Phi Theta Kappa scholars holding an associate degree who have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.5. Additional eligibility requirements include current membership in Phi Theta Kappa and confirmation of an earned Associate degree.

Ryan Scholars - full scholarship
The Thomas M. Ryan Scholars program provides a full scholarship (tuition, fees, housing, food, books, and one Global Winter Travel J-Term experience with faculty) for four years for selected students.
Eligibility: Candidates will be selected from their initial applications and then asked to participate in campus visits and interviews.

Schilling Scholars supplemental award
Our new Schilling Scholars Program for STEM applicants increases individual merit scholarships by up to $20,000 annually! It includes a $1,000 yearly book stipend, a $3,000 Winter J-Term or summer global travel award, mentors, advising, and leadership development.
Eligibility: URI’s merit-based University and Presidential Scholarships range from $2,000 to $17,000 per year for all four years.* Our new Helen Izzi Schilling ’54 and Francis Schilling Scholars Program, based on each student’s credentials at the time of application, provides up to $20,000 annually on top of these amounts!

Transfer Merit Award - preference tier
In-State Requirements
GPA 3.3+
Transfer scholarships are not available to students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree or are receiving discounted tuition through the CCRI-URI Joint Admission program.
Eligibility: Preference for our highest-level awards will be given to students with:
* A minimum of 24 transferable college credits (based on a semester system) in a diversified program of study.
* A cumulative grade point average of 3.3.

University and Presidential Merit Scholarships (range)

In-State Requirements
GPA 3.2+
Four-year renewable scholarships.
* Annual award range: $2,000-$17,000
* Total renewable value: $12,000-$68,000
Eligibility: Eligibility is based on academic performance in high school, including GPA* and course selection. Applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.2 will be considered for merit scholarships.
* Standardized test scores are not required and are not considered as part of the scholarship review process.
Verrecchia Business Scholars - full scholarship
The Alfred J. Verrecchia Business Scholars program provides a full scholarship (tuition, fees, housing, food, books, and one Global Winter Travel J-Term experience with faculty) for four years for selected students interested in majoring in business.
Eligibility: Candidates will be selected from their initial applications and then asked to participate in campus visits and interviews.
