Undergraduates received more than $10 million in merit-based awards this past year, including awards for first-year and current students.
Eligibility: To be considered for merit-based scholarships, complete the Engineering Honors Program Application by December 1st. Current enrolled students may complete the Engineering Scholarship Application by May 1st each year.

Presidential Scholar award
$5,000/yr
On top of the $5,000 given to the scholars annually, there is a one-time $1,500 Enrichment Scholarship to be used for an internship, research, study abroad or professional conference experience.

ULN is an incentive-based scholarship program designed to help students be part of a community and provide them with leadership training. By meeting these program requirements students can earn $20,000 over four years.

Carlos and Clara Quintanilla Scholarship
$5,000 one-time
The Carlos and Clara Quintanilla Scholarship is a $5,000 spring tuition scholarship, which will recognize an undergraduate student enrolled in the Cockrell School of Engineering.
Eligibility: Criteria: You are an undergraduate student in the Cockrell School of Engineering and enrolled full-time during the award semester. You resided in Mexico immediately prior to enrolling in the Cockrell School of Engineering. You are in good academic standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Demonstrate financial need. You intend to return to Mexico post-graduation for work.

Charles Butt Scholarship award
$8,000/yr
Award: $8,000/year for up to four years, as well as professional development opportunities and participation in a Scholar community.
Eligibility: Eligible students: Future Texas public school teachers who plan to teach in either a Title I school or in a high-priority subject area (including bilingual and special education).

Dr. David Nilsson Scholarship
$2,000 one-time
The Dr. David Nilsson Scholarship is a $2,000 spring tuition scholarship, which will recognize an undergraduate student who graduated from a high school in Mexico.
Eligibility: Criteria: You are an undergraduate student and enrolled full-time at UT Austin during the award semester. Graduated from a high school in Mexico and intend to return to Mexico after graduation for work. Demonstrate financial need. You must have completed two academic semesters at UT Austin. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0.

The Tuition Assistance for Mexican Students (TAMS) award provides a waiver of the nonresident portion of a student's tuition bill. The TAMS award is not a cash award.
Eligibility: Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time at UT Austin during the award semesters. Students who are refugees are not eligible. Students who are eligible for FAFSA or TASFA are not eligible. Have a cumulative GPA above 2.0 for undergraduate students and a 3.0 GPA for graduate students.

Terry Scholarship (typical)

The Terry Scholarship offers assistance to cover tuition, books and living costs, renewable for up to four years. Traditional Scholars received an average scholarship of $18,000 for 2015-2016; Transfer Scholars received a set stipend of $8,650 for 2015-2016. (Varies per student. Texas Law awards (range)
$1,000/yr
Texas Law offers scholarships that range from $1,000 to several full tuition and fee awards each year. On average, more than 94% of all students have been awarded scholarships in the last three years.
Eligibility: Scholarships are provided through the generosity of alumni and friends of Texas Law and are awarded based on scholastic merit and/or financial need. All incoming students (residents, nonresidents, and international students) are eligible for scholarship consideration.
