Founders Full Scholarship
The Founders Scholarship is a competitive full scholarship for incoming first-year students to study Anthropology at the University of West Georgia beginning each fall semester. The scholarship covers $3000 per semester for eight semesters (total of $24K) over the course of four years, contingent on satisfactory progress and good standing.
James B. Lipham Scholarship (renewable)
The scholarship shall be awarded annually to a full-time business major. The student must be an entering freshman with a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and a minimum combined SAT score of 1012 or ACT Composite score of 21. The scholarship is renewable for four years so long as the recipient maintains full-time status, a minimum GPA of 3.0 and is an active participant in any UWG sanctioned campus organization.
OFS Scholarship (annual)

Standard Waring Merit Award
The awards offset the cost of education for students, taking into account the costs of tuition, fees, books, and room and board. Successful candidates will receive a $1500 scholarship.
Summer Tuition Awards
Through the Waring Endowment, we offer competitive scholarships: $500 for Anthropology majors who take upper division courses, and as much as $1000 for students who take summer field methods courses.
Travel/Support Award
If awarded, funds of up to $350 may include research-related costs, the costs of registration, as well as travel, food and lodging.
Waring Research Award
This Fall-Spring semester award includes $1000 in scholarship, with $500 to be disbursed in the Fall semester and $500 in the Spring semester, contingent on the receipt of a mid-term report due at the beginning of the Spring semester. In addition, the award supports up to $600 in research-related costs, to be reimbursed to the student based on receipts.
