Ball State Scholars Award - In-state
Selected outstanding high school seniors are awarded a Ball State Scholars Award. The award is open to in-state and out-of-state students*. This award pays for institutional charges for tuition, fees, and room and board.
* In-state students can receive $4,000 a year (maximum of $2,000 a semester) for a four-year total of $16,000.
* Out-of-state students can receive $14,000 a year (maximum of $7,000 a semester) for a four-year total of $56,000.

David R. Hermansen Memorial Scholarship for Historic Preservation and Restoration
Awarded to a candidate for admission to the first year of the master’s in historic preservation program.
Distinction Scholarship - Out-of-state
Selected out-of-state* outstanding high school seniors are awarded a Distinction Scholarship. This award may pay institutional charges for tuition, fees, and room and board.
* Out-of-state students can receive $12,000 a year (maximum of $6,000 a semester) for a four-year total of $48,000.
Ellison Scholarship (combined with Presidential Scholarship)
The Ellison, in combination with the Presidential Scholarship, covers the amount of tuition and mandatory fees (student service, health, technology, and recreation fees). It also provides for on-campus room and board based on the standard, two person, 21 meal plan rate.
Global Achievement Scholarship
International Undergraduate students can receive $12,000 a year for a four-year total of $48,000.
Global Distinction Scholarship
International Undergraduate students can receive $14,000 a year for a four-year total of $56,000.
Global Presidential Scholarship
International Undergraduate students can receive $16,000 a year for a four-year total of $64,000.
Midwest Regional Scholarship (tuition reduction)
This special opportunity provides significant savings from our regular out-of-state tuition rates for full-time, on-campus enrollment starting in Fall 2023. Save more than $50,000 over the course of four years from our regular tuition rate for out-of-state students.
Benefits: This scholarship reduces Ball State’s full-time, on-campus tuition and student services fee for qualified out-of-state residents to total no more than 150% of the full-time, in-state tuition and student services fee paid by Indiana residents.

MSEP reduces Ball State’s full-time, on-campus tuition and student services fee for qualified out-of-state residents to total no more than 150% of the full-time, in-state tuition and student services fee paid by Indiana residents.

Provost Award
This award is open to eligible new incoming freshmen from Kentucky and Ohio. This award can be applied towards institutional charges including tuition, fees, and room and board.
* Students can receive up to $2,000 a year ( maximum of $1,000 per semester) for a four-year total of $8,000.
Schmidt Associates Scholarship (CAP)
Awarded to full-time undergraduate students working on a Bachelor of Architecture within the Department of Architecture.
Emens Leadership Scholarship (standard)
Fifteen new Emens Leadership Scholarships are currently awarded each year to incoming freshmen. The Scholarship is currently valued at $4650 per academic year.
Guardian Scholars annual award
Each scholarship award will include up to $2,500 per year and is renewable for up to 4 years, subject to review.
Whitinger Scholarship (full tuition+fees+room/board)
This scholarship covers full tuition (in-state or out-of-state), mandatory fees (those which apply automatically to all students), and on-campus room and board (a typical DeHority Complex shared double room with 14 meals per week) for eight semesters of undergraduate study.
