Florida Academic Scholars
This state-funded scholarship is based on high school academic achievement and is awarded to students enrolled in an eligible Florida public or private post-secondary educational institution within two (2) years of graduation from a Florida high school.
Florida Medallion Scholars
This state-funded scholarship is based on high school academic achievement and is awarded to students enrolled in an eligible Florida public or private post-secondary educational institution within two (2) years of graduation from a Florida high school.
FGCU Foundation Scholarships (various)
Through the generosity of many individuals, alumni, local philanthropists, nonprofit organizations and corporations, the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation has established academic merit and financial need-based scholarships for FGCU students. The Foundation provided over $6 million dollars in scholarships this past year.
Global Learning Grant
The Global Learning Grant Program provides up to $500.00 per semester to pay for tuition and fees for undergrad students in programs affiliated with the Global Engagement Office, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
Grandparent Waiver - awarded up to allocation
Students who receive the Grandparent Waiver will be treated as Florida residents and will only be charged fees charged to resident students. Beginning with out-of-state undergraduate first-year students admitted for the 2022-23 academic year, students with grandparents residing in Florida may be eligible for a waiver of the Non-Resident (out-of-state) fee.
Out-of-State Waiver
$10,500 per year, up to 2 years; will cover the difference in tuition between out-of-state and in-state tuition. This waiver will cover nine (9) credit hours per semester for the Fall and Spring semesters only.
Perez Family Study Abroad Scholarship
Up to $1500 USD for students participating on an FGCU Faculty Led Study Abroad program or an FGCU partner university exchange program OR up to $3000 for students participating on an independent program of 4 weeks or more with a direct enroll institution or education abroad organization.
Seidler Fund Study Abroad Grant
Award Amount: Up to $4000 USD for students participating on an FGCU Faculty Led Study Abroad program or another FGCU approved study abroad program with a direct enroll institution or education abroad organization.
St. Andrew's Society Scholarship (Scotland Summer)
Award Amount: up to full tuition and housing for 1-course during Summer 2025 study at Stirling University (estimated $4200 value)
