Eligible scholars will receive an award equal to the institutional cost of attendance for an in-state student minus the sum of Bright Futures and any National Merit award. The Benacquisto Scholarship disbursement can range between $16,000 - $25,000 per year, but it will always equal the full in-state cost of attendance.

College of Law first-year scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of merit, considering both the LSAT/GRE score AND cumulative GPA. The majority of our entering students receive first-year scholarships.

Graduate Merit (Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation)

Recipients should be a full-time, graduate student, currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution (or have an acceptance letter if starting in the Fall), minimum 3.0 GPA, and able to demonstrate community service and involvement.

Grandparent Waiver

Grandparent Waiver: tuition and fee waiver of the out-of-state tuition costs up to 110% of total degree hours.

The total award package for Presidential Scholars is $42,000, plus an out-of-state tuition waiver (valued at $57,776 over four years). This includes: $14,000 Presidential Scholarship distributed over four years; $16,000 Admissions (Vires) Scholarship distributed over four years; $12,000 for educational enrichment opportunities including international experiences, research and creative projects, service learning projects or public service, internships, and entrepreneurial development.
