Academic Scholarships (UAH)
All Academic Scholarships are renewable each fall and spring semester based on full-time student status and satisfactory academic progress. Freshman Academic Scholarships and International Student Academic Scholarships are renewable for up to eight fall and spring semesters. Transfer Student Academic Scholarships are renewable for up to six fall and spring semesters.
Eligibility: UAH's Academic Scholarships recognize incoming undergraduate students who have demonstrated superior academic achievement. All Freshman Academic Scholarships are four-year awards for fall and spring semesters, renewable each semester based on full-time student status and satisfactory academic progress. Scholarship consideration will be given to all first-time freshmen who are offered admission to UAH. No separate scholarship application is required.

The scholarships below indicate the amount awarded per academic year for students who do not reside in Alabama or Tennessee. International students currently residing in the United States are also eligible for the scholarships below.
Eligibility: Award amounts are based on each student's high school GPA, and ACT or SAT superscore, and residency status. Students are encouraged to take the ACT and/or SAT multiple times. Please note, updated high school transcripts and test scores received after May 15, 2026, will not be considered for a scholarship upgrade.

International Merit Scholarship
Eligibility: The scholarships below indicate the amount awarded per academic year for international students seeking a F1 Visa. Scholarship consideration will be given to all first-time freshmen who are offered admission to UAH. No separate scholarship application is required.
International Super Scholar Scholarship
Eligibility: The scholarships below indicate the amount awarded per academic year for international students seeking a F1 Visa. Scholarship consideration will be given to all first-time freshmen who are offered admission to UAH. No separate scholarship application is required.
National Merit UAH Platinum
The National Merit UAH Platinum Scholarships provides: Full tuition (up to 18 credit hours per semester), for a total of eight semesters of undergraduate coursework; One year of on-campus housing at a regular room rate; Course fees up to $500 per academic year; A one-time $3,000 UAH led summer study-abroad allowance (This can only be utilized during a summer term.)
Eligibility: Students must list The University of Alabama in Huntsville as their college choice by May 31.
Super Scholar Transfer Scholarship

UAH recognizes the academic success of new transfer students by offering three-year transfer scholarships. Students who submit an application for admission and official transcripts from all previously attended colleges are automatically eligible for consideration.
Eligibility: Students must be seeking their first bachelors degree, must not have previously attended UAH, and must maintain full-time enrollment at UAH to be eligible for consideration.
