This fund shall be used to provide merit-based student scholarships for undergraduate students in any dollar amount deemed necessary by the Office of Financial Aid.

Eligibility: Scholarship recipients shall be: - Selected by the Office of Financial Aid - Entering freshmen, transfer, or continuing undergraduate students in any college or major - Selected solely on the basis of merit and academic achievement.

Eligibility: The UCR Financial Aid Office will select the scholarship recipient based upon academic merit. In years when there is no candidate who meets the criteria, awards will be held until the following year.

The Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE) offers a variety of scholarships to eligible students. To qualify, students must have an established UCR GPA; therefore, newly admitted students are not eligible until they have earned a GPA at UCR.

The CHASS Dean's Scholarship and Glen E. Josephson Endowed Student Award are intended to reward students who have excelled in their studies. Individual award amounts may vary, but may not exceed $1,500.

Eligibility: To be eligible, you must: * Have sophomore or junior standing at the time of application. * Have a UCR grade point average of 3.50, or if an applicant’s GPA is less than 3.5, he/she/they must secure one letter of recommendation from a faculty member. * Be in a CHASS major program (including undeclared).

Ten incoming first-year's are selected each year from a pool of eligible applicants. After applications are read by alumni volunteers and virtual interviews are conducted with top candidates, awardees are selected and receive a scholarship in the amount of $5,000 for the 2025-26 academic year.
