Burton Scholarship (ECBU)
The Burton P.C. Bacheller, III 2011 Scholarship in Economics and Business ... Its purpose is to provide financial assistance to cadets who are pursuing a degree in Economics and Business at VMI, with a preference for cadets from Virginia.

Cameron Scholarship (Wilmington, NC)
The Cameron Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship for young men and women from the city of Wilmington, N.C., New Hanover County, N.C., and surrounding communities who wish to pursue their college education at VMI.
Eligibility: The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic achievement, individual character, and demonstrated leadership potential.

Institute Merit Scholars receive awards from $5,000 to the full cost of tuition and room and board per academic year.
Eligibility: To qualify, candidates must present a high school GPA of at least 3.75 (unweighted) and evidence of achievement in a rigorous high school academic program, demonstrated by AP/IB, dual enrollment, or other advanced coursework, and a combined SAT score of 1350 (combined critical reading & math) or an ACT score of 29. Please note that while standardized test scores for admission to VMI remain optional, they are required for consideration for the Institute Scholarship Program.

James C. Sansberry Scholarship
The James C. Sansberry academic scholarship is a merit scholarship awarded on the basis of academic achievement, individual character, and demonstrated leadership potential. Scholarships are awarded in various financial amounts depending on the competitiveness of the candidate’s academic and extracurricular qualifications.
Eligibility: This scholarship is for young men and women from the state of Indiana who wish to pursue their college education at VMI.

The Peay Merit Scholarships, covering the full cost of tuition, room, board, and fees, are offered at two points:
Eligibility: For matriculants, the academic criteria for consideration are identical to those of the VMI Institute Scholarship Program, including a minimum 3.75 high school GPA (unweighted) and a combined SAT score of 1350 or an ACT score of 29. For rising 2nd or 1st Class cadets, the academic criterion is a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA at the time of nomination/application.

Eligibility: VMI's Call to Duty Scholarships provide additional funding to appointed students who are recipients of the three and four-year ROTC national scholarships.
