Discovery Grant (single tier)
The Honors Discovery Grants ... are available to all students in the Honors College up to $6,000 total funding depending on a studentβs financial need and the cost of the study abroad program.
Eligibility: Only current Honors College students who have either received HLD Plan approval (students who entered Honors in Spring 2023 or earlier) or have completed UH 1404 with a passing grade (students who enter Honors in Fall 2023 or later) are eligible to receive this grant.

Eligibility: Recognizes exceptional engineering majors in the Honors College who also show demonstrated coursework in the arts.

Eligibility: Eligible students shall be, upon receipt of the scholarship, Honors College students who are pursuing a major within the Pamplin College of Business.

Honors College General Scholarship Application (Scholarship Central)
Merit scholarships available to incoming first-year Honors College students who exemplify leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation. This scholarship covers estimated cost of attendance for four years filling in after any other scholarships won.
Eligibility: Incoming first-year students who have indicated on their Virginia Tech undergraduate application an interest in the Honors College are eligible to apply for the following recruitment scholarships.

Leslie Sherman Scholarship
The winner(s) will receive funding for spring or summer study abroad experiences planned for the academic year in which they have applied for funding.
Eligibility: Eligible students must be an undergraduate majoring in history or international studies. Winners are selected based on high academic achievement with a preference for Honors College students.

Pamplin Leadership Award
$5,000 one-time
The Pamplin Leadership Award is a $5,000 one-year academic, merit-based scholarship.
Eligibility: Nominees must have at least a 3.8 cumulative GPA. Possible applicants include all qualified seniors enrolled at a Virginia public high school. There can be only one nominee from each high school.

The Paul and Lynne Knox Study Abroad Scholarship supports Honors College students who plan to study abroad.

Skelton Honors Scholarship
The Skelton Honors Scholarship supports international travel experiences of Honors College students in their last two years of undergraduate study.
Eligibility: Eligible students must be able to demonstrate involvement in leadership activities, have a 3.7 or better cumulative GPA, and must have completed at least six hours of foreign language classes at the university level.

Stamps Scholar (full cost of attendance for 4 years)
Virginia Tech Stamps Scholars receive funding for four years for estimated cost of attendance which includes tuition, fees, room, and board. Each scholar will receive a generous enrichment fund for experiential learning opportunities.
Eligibility: Freshmen applicants to Virginia Tech who have indicated an interest in the Honors College on their undergraduate application may apply for the Stamps Scholarship.
