As of Fall 2023, the College has made available up to $100,000 per year for the next 5 years to meet demonstrated financial need in support of study abroad opportunities. Eligible students can be awarded between $150 and $5,250 in support of their study abroad experience, based on program cost and financial need as determined through the student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Alumni Legacy Scholarship
This $2,000 scholarship is awarded based on a combination of financial need, academic merit, and co-curricular involvements. The scholarship is automatically renewed for up to three years as long as the recipient maintains the established academic standards outlined in the Conditions of the Scholarship and continues as a degree-seeking student at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
Don Stabile Alumni Doctoral
The $5,000 scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable award.
Don Stabile Alumni Post-Graduate
The $2,500 scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable award.
Landers Scholars full package
The Landers Scholars scholarships are awarded through an application process and support full tuition, general fees, room, and board. This scholarship program benefits four new students a year, combining financial aid support with first-year mentoring and community service.
PRS&T Consortium Award
the PRS&T Consortium scholarship provides financial need scholarships and internship experiences. Awarded through an application process, the scholarship provides $7,500 per year.
SMCM Study Abroad Scholarships (program-specific)
Scholarships are available to SMCM students for study abroad! Institutional scholarships and/or grants, not specified for study abroad, may only be transferred to SMCM study abroad programs.
