This $5,000 scholarship will be offered to students entering as a first year student in the Fall. Available to those who are academically high achieving with high financial need (Pell eligible).
Eligibility: This award is renewable for up to three additional years provided that the student remains full-time and maintains at least a 3.0 GPA. Only two students at a time will be able to maintain this scholarship, so funds may not be available each year to award to new students. The Admissions Office will award this scholarship on a rolling basis until all funds are awarded. Students do not directly apply for this scholarship.

Direct matched donor-funded scholarships (FREDscholar)
Merit based, financial need based, major based and activity based scholarships are available. The majority of donor funded scholarships available are "direct matched opportunities" - students will not need to apply. Students are matched based on answers provided to a series of questions.
Eligibility: Current and Fredonia students are eligible to apply/be matched for scholarships. Students must have been admitted to Fredonia, paid deposit and have an active E-Services account to be able to log into the matching system and apply.

The Fredonia Scholar Award is a renewable $4,000 merit-based award to entering first-year students who plan to enroll full-time and live on campus.
Eligibility: Minimum academic qualifications for this award are a 90-94 cumulative weighted high school average. Once enrolled the student must achieve a minimum 2.8 GPA to retain this award, must annually complete the FAFSA (and TAP for NYS residents), maintain full-time status, and reside in a university residence hall or townhouse.

Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration, incoming freshman should have a very good high school average and will be expected to write an essay that discusses their career plans and dreams. The Admissions Office will award this scholarship on a rolling basis until all funds are awarded. Students do not directly apply for this scholarship.
