Purchase College offers merit and talent scholarships. This year, **we** i**ncreased merit scholarship awards for BA and BS programs to $8.7 million**, offered to every applicant earning an 87 GPA or higher on a first-come, first-served basis based on the date of application ([before Jan 1](/live/blurbs/3028-scholarships-for-early-action-and-all-applicants) and [after Jan 1](/live/blurbs/3029-scholarships-for-applicants-accepted-after-january).)

Institutional Scholarships (Purchase College)
Last year, Purchase College offered approximately $2.2 million in scholarships to academically qualified new and returning students. Institutional scholarships are made available directly from the college by the Purchase College Foundation and come from the generous contributions of donors to Purchase College, including individuals, families, foundations, and corporations.
Eligibility: No application requiredβwe evaluate all candidates for scholarships during the admissions review process and award as many qualified candidates as funds allow.

Merit Housing Scholarship is awarded to students in recognition of academic excellence in high school.

Presidentβs Broadview Scholarship Award for Liberal Arts and Sciences
Presidentβs Broadview Scholarship Award for Liberal Arts and Sciences is awarded to students in recognition of their achievements in high school.
Eligibility: Students receiving this award must also: Qualify for and receive TAP each year; Maintain their on-campus residency status if admitted as a resident student

Presidentβs Scholarship for Liberal Arts and Sciences
Presidentβs Scholarship for Liberal Arts and Sciences is awarded to students in recognition of their achievements in high school.
Eligibility: Students receiving this award must also: Maintain residency outside of New York State

Purchase Promise (full housing scholarship)
Students offered the Purchase Promise award and meet the criteria outlined below are eligible for a full housing scholarship, which covers the full cost of a double occupancy room in an approved building. Meals (including the required meal plan for students living in traditional campus housing) are not covered by the award.
Eligibility: Be admitted to Purchase College, SUNY though the SUNY Top 10% Program.
Major in a program in the Liberal Arts and Sciences (with the exception of Creative Writing and Film) or in the Theatre and Performance major.
Applicants admitted to programs with additional talent assessment by faculty are not eligible.
Reside in a double occupancy room in one of the following: Central, Farside, Crossroads, Fort Awesome, Outback, The Commons, The Olde
Maintain good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
Adhere to the collegeβs code of conduct
Submit your FAFSA and TAP applications annually
