Flagship Scholarship (international first-year)
The University at Buffalo offers scholarships in varying amounts to qualified incoming international first-year/first-time students. Scholarship awards vary and are renewable with good academic standing. The Flagship Scholarship may be combined with other UB scholarships.
Pride of New York Scholarship (2- or 4-year)
High-achieving first-year domestic students from New York State are considered for Pride of New York Scholarships. Award amounts are based on academic merit. Funds are exclusively for non-tuition costs such as fees. No additional application is needed. These scholarships are renewable for either two or four years for domestic students who meet continuing eligibility requirements.
Provost Scholarship (out-of-state first-year)
High-achieving domestic first-year out-of-state students are automatically considered for the Provost Scholarship. Award amounts are based on academic merit and cost of attendance. No additional application is needed. These scholarships are renewable for up to four years for domestic students who meet continuing eligibility requirements. Provost Scholarship awards must be used for a student's direct cost of attendance.
School of Law β€” Merit Scholarships (policy/administration)
Merit Scholarship and Named Admission Scholarship for continuing students will be posted to your Financial Aid summary during the first week of August subject to all conditions within our Merit Scholarship Policy being fulfilled by students.
Transfer Student Scholarships
All admitted students are automatically considered, and scholarships are based on your transfer GPA. Scholarship awards can be found within your Applicant Status Page. They are renewable for up to two years, provided students meet continuing eligibility requirements.

Challen Family Scholarship
Multiple awards will be based on academic merit (minimum 3.5 GPA) and financial need. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be enrolled full time for the subsequent semester in School of Management and have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5, unless otherwise specified.

Presidential Scholarship β€” New York State Residents
This scholarship is valued at $15,000 annually for New York State Residents(when combined with other scholarships and grants, this amount may not exceed the cost of attendance), renewable for four years of undergraduate study. International and out-of-state students are eligible and encouraged to apply for the Presidential Scholarship. If selected, this scholarship could be valued at up to $22,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.
